Today was an historic inauguration day and one we will not surely forget. Much has been made about the groundbreaking inauguration of Vice President Kamala Harris, the diversity of Biden appointments, and the rich symbolism of the inauguration ceremony.
I had an unusually meaningful coda to the seminar as I was invited to unite to Marines, in marriage. The young couple, based on both the east and west coasts, had a simple ceremony with a handful of family members. Like so many pandemic couples, they will have a larger ceremony down the line. It was a sweet, simple ceremony with traditional vows. But my favorite part was that they were both in full dress uniform. If you are an active-duty service member, I am happy to offer—as I did with this couple—a deep discount in my fee for service. It’s the least I can do for those in military service
