Several weeks ago, I had the opportunity to officiate a Simply Eloped ceremony, honoring this sweet little family and a handful of guests. My friend and colleague Marta Zapardiel took these beautiful photographs chronicling the anticipation of the wedding, moving moments during the ceremony, and family portraits after the big event. The wedding was held at the Dene Summerhouse (also known as the “Treehouse for Dreaming”) in mid-park on the east side. A highlight of the ceremony was when the couple Jumped the Broom following the declaration of marriage. The bride had arranged for a beautiful artistic broom for the ritual. After the wedding, Marta took some adorable—as well as epic—photographs of the family. I’m sure these will be cherished keepsakes for years to come.
