Empire Cake!

No matter large wedding or small, every celebration deserves a sweet at the end.  And, in my new neighborhood of Chelsea, I’ve found just the place to procure perfect cakes for the day—Empire Cake!  In many cultures, brides and grooms share sweets of some sort as part of the ceremony or afterwards.  In typical American weddings, a favorite reception moment is each member of the couple feeding cake to the other.    With an elopement, cupcakes can do the trick.  A micro-wedding might include a 4- or 8-inch cake for the couple’s big moment and sharing at a post wedding celebration.  These days, large weddings contain sweets from large wedding cakes to cupcake towers to installations of pastries and donuts.

As I made my way to an elopement today, I picked up a chocolate and vanilla cupcake for the couple.  Looking at the offerings of Empire Cake and visiting their social media platforms, all I can say is, “I’ll be back!”  Just look at these festive cookies and cakes for weddings and every social and holiday occasion, under the sun. Empire Cake can be found at 112 Eighth Evenue or at www.empirecake.com.  Their phone number is 212-242-5858.
