I have noticed a trend among recent brides and grooms that may serve as inspiration for those thinking about their wedding ceremonies. Recent couples have turned to popular song lyrics as readings during the wedding. While I previously wrote about a couple using the lyrics of the Etta James classic “At Last” in their ceremony, recent couples have turned to more non-traditional artists to reflect loving sentiments.
A recent favorite couple of mine Daniela and Matthew had a beautiful wedding in that classic, grand New York Palace Hotel. The candle lit ceremony, hosted in the library, was filled with special moments, including Matt’s brother Nicolas reading words from the rock group Led Zepplin:
Thank You
If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.
Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.
Little drops of rain whisper of the pain,
tears of loves lost in the days gone by.
My love is strong, with you there is no wrong,
Together we shall go until we die.
An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look… see.
And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one.
